Sean Butt joined RBHFas an Associate in the summer of 2022.
He is an experienced litigator with over 13 years of experience representing institutional clients, small and medium size businesses, and individuals, and has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario.His main area of practice is civil litigation where he has significant experience in commercial litigation, debt recovery and mortgage enforcement, however, his practice includes a wide range of litigation matters.
Sean received his Bachelor of Arts with Honours at the University of Toronto focusing on Political Science and Economics and obtained his law degree from Queen’s University.
Sean practiced law at a mid-size firm in Toronto for the first 12 years of his career and decided to move his family and his practice to Kingston, an ideal location from which he represents the interestsof clients in the Kingston community and across the province.
Sean thrives with colleagues that are highly engaged in their practice, making RBHF a perfect fit. He is a strongproponent of civility in the litigation processand is dedicated tomentoring articlingstudents and junior counsel. He is a Member of the Frontenac Law Association where he currently sits as Co-Chair on the Civil Rules Committee.
